Besides his desire for independence and being the "boss", Dad loved to write poetry, read Zane Grey western novels, and watch John Wayne and Errol Flynn movies. During World War II Dad had several of his poems published in the Stars and Stripes Newspaper and over 180 of his poems were published as "Thoughts", a daily feature in the Homestead (PA) Daily Messenger newspaper in the 1970s. These poems will be included in this website in the future.
